Job Overview

Our client near the Greensboro airport is seeking an Accounting leader for their team. This position requires full in-office work and offers full-time employment.

The Controller oversees all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. They play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
  • Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial guidance to support strategic decision-making, investment opportunities, and capital allocation.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment portfolios to optimize liquidity and maximize returns.
    • Management Duties
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the estimation team to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Implement performance management systems and processes to set expectations, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
  • Oversee training and development to enhance team capabilities, skills, and competencies.
  • Lead succession planning efforts to identify and develop future leaders within the department and organization.
  • Strategize and implement improvement initiatives for the Finance department.
  • Analyze past projects to improve estimation accuracy regarding hours and material usage.
  • Conduct market research and explore innovative methodologies and sources for continuous improvement.
