The Role:

The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including but not limited to financial statement preparation, consolidation, intercompany, inventory, e-commerce, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, revenue recognition, journal entry review, sales tax review, and various ad-hoc analyses and will report into the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliation reports for the accounting department to ensure proper financial reporting.
  • Lead month-end close process in partnership with the CFO.
  • Oversee filing sales tax data to ensure accuracies for Roller Rabbit, 18East, and Loudmouth.
  • Support the CFO in the documentation compliance process with state agencies (Business registration, Business licenses).
  • Review all journal entries – will post intercompany and consolidation entries and review transactions posted by junior accountant.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on quarterly and annual sales projections, budgets, and subsidiary planning.
  • Act as the liaison between Roller Rabbit, auditors, and any external vendors to ensure all data is accurate.
  • Collaborate with our internal production team to ensure accuracy of the cost of goods sold and inventory levels.
  • Supervise, support, and review the accounting work of Junior Accountant Coordinator.
  • Partner with the CFO in developing, enhancing, and maintaining accounting Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external audit inquiries and requests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
  • Experience in retail, fashion, or a related industry preferred.
  • ERP system experience preferred (e.g., NetSuite, SAP Business One, etc.).
  • Strong US GAAP and technical accounting knowledge.
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables & v-look ups).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
