EEO/AA/M/F/Disabled/VetsJob Description :Accounting Manager (Consultant)Location 1211 6th AvenueHybrid 3 days in officePay Range:$50 - $72 hourNews Corp is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Accounting Manager(Consultant) who will be responsible for day to day accounting activities,oversight of corporate books and records and will play an integral part in theimplementation of special projects.This role is a 6 month consultant role with a possibility to convert to apermanent full time role and is based in the New York area with the abilityto be in office on a hybrid basis.ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the corporate accounting department, the Accounting Managerwill be primarily responsible for the following:Supervise staff, review and/or prepare journal entries, accountreconciliations, variance analysisOversee the monthly/quarterly financial close process includingthe preparation of P&L, Cash Flow Statements, detailedanalytics and account rollforwardsOversee all domestic and foreign inter-company accountsincluding confirmation of balances and maintainingcorrespondence with divisional counterpartsPrepare various ad hoc reports, investigate balances, researchaccounting treatmentOversee accounts payable transactionsCoordinate SOX 404 Testing and ReportingAssist in compliance with Internal/External AuditsRequirementsBA/BS in Accounting5+ years accounting experience in either public or private (supervisoryexperience a plus)Ledger experience (SAP a plus)Knowledge Of Microsoft Packages (Advanced Excel Skills Required)Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects andmanage their time efficientlyMust be able to work well in group environment, be committed tomeeting strict deadlines, and willing to work long hours as neededMust possess strong written and verbal communications skills ,excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groupsacross a large organizationLooking for a quick learning Team player that is highly motivated andenergeticAbout News CorpNews Corp is a global, diversified media and information servicescompany focused on creating and distributing authoritative andengaging content to consumers throughout the world.
