Accounting Manager, Agrinational Insurance Company - Chicago, IL

This is an exempt level position.

Position Summary

Agrinational Insurance Company is ADM's captive insurance company providing insurance coverage to ADM's operations and corporate activities. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate accounting and reporting activities, developing leadership skills, and partnering with business leaders to improve processes and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate monthly reporting and analysis of results
• Support third-party accounting team oversight
• Maintain effective control environment and SOX compliance
• Collaborate across finance and business teams to improve processes
• Reflect results properly in consolidated reporting and manage intercompany eliminations
• Complete driver-based plans and forecasts
• Develop ad hoc financial analyses for senior management
• Partner on insurance-related financial activities
• Coordinate with external auditors
• Influence within a matrix environment and manage multiple projects

Required Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Desired Skills

• Understanding of ADM's structure
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
• Knowledge of insurance industry accounting

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in insurance
• Leadership and coaching experience
