Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Conduct regular account reconciliations and maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports and provide meaningful insights to management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Monitor, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Stay informed on relevant accounting standards and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
• Utilize accounting software to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Assist with process improvements, audits, and ad hoc financial projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a small to mid-size company environment.
• Experience in energy, utilities, or oil & gas industries is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations and close processes.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Excel.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
