The Accounting/Fiscal Manager I will, under general supervision of the Finance Director, performs accounting functions primarily for the Business Enterprise Program and secondarily with VR programs that include Training Center, Training Center, and VR related to payable, account receivable, reporting, procurement, revising policies and procedures, inventory, collections, and all other duties identified.

The responsibilities of the Accounting/Fiscal Manager I will include:

  • Assisting with reviewing, coding, and ensure transaction related to account payable, account receivable, and assets are properly coded and approve transactions for departments.
  • Ensuring the transactions are coded with internal order number for reporting purposes.
  • Reviewing the journal entries and approving as needed.
  • Assist completing the state, federal, and extra reporting requirements throughout the year. Review and sign off the lease reporting monthly.
  • Completing the BEP Quarterly and Annual reports and other program reports as needed or requested.
  • Assisting with creating the IDC Rate proposal as needed.
  • Assisting with revising and create policies and procedures for the respected areas annually.
  • Monitoring the budget, open encumbrance report, MOE, state match requirements for the programs to identify any issues or concerns to be addressed and ensure accuracy.
  • Creating Shopping Carts for programs and P-Card Administrator roles.
  • Serving as back up the Finance Director as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Some overnight travel may be required as well as some afterhours or weekend work. State: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and professional experience in a related area, such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.Agency: A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with fifteen (15) hours in accounting. SCEIS Finance experience. Under limited supervision of the Finance Director, this individual will assist in revising various accounting policies and procedures, assist with procurement, payables, receivable, inventory, collections, reporting and all other duties related to the Business Enterprise Program, VR, and backup the Finance Director as needed.
