Apply today.SummaryUses approved accounting methods to analyze and record accounts receivable (AR) and payable (AP), sales tax, 1099, bank account reconciliation, debt collections, journal posting and other miscellaneous accounting functions.Essential Job Functions

• Carries out billing, collection and reporting activities. Matches invoices to internal purchase orders, processes check requests, audits and process credit card bills. Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
• Maintains up-to-date files for AR/AP records. Verifies the accuracy of invoices, discounts, credits, figures, calculations and proper coding.
• Monitors customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities. Reconciles vendor or customer statements, researches and corrects discrepancies.
• Prepares bank deposits and processes adjustments. Follows established procedures for processing receipts, cash, checks, and invoices. Compiles statistical, financial, accounting and auditing reports pertaining to expenditures, accounts payable and receivable.
• Creates, manages, and maintains file updates of customer electronic records in Vantage, accounting software and SEi network. Maintains 1099 forms for processing. Assists with end of month closing.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge And AbilitiesKnowledge of administrative procedures. Able to manage files and electronic records. Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to work in a team with co-workers to resolve work issues, interpret instructions both written and oral. Able to communicate effectively in English.Education And ExperienceCollege courses in accounting preferred. Knowledge and experience with general accounting systems and procedures. Previous work experience in manufacturing setting preferred but not necessary. Must have experience in a manufacturing setting.Physical DemandsMust be able to occasionally exert push force up to 20 pounds, must have good eyesight and hand dexterity, and able to identify and distinguish colors.Work EnvironmentWithin safety guidelines, upon occasion there will be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is listed at the top of this posting.
