Job Description- Job Title: Accountant Job Duration: 6+ months contract Est. Pay Range: $55/hr on w2 Work Type: Remote Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, flexible start 7a-6p ESTOverview/ Responsibilities: Description:

• Perform light clerical duties within an accounting function.
• May type, match payments, check items on purchase orders, prepare bank deposits and perform other routine calculations.
• Perform basic accounting functions requiring knowledge of accounts payable and receivable and of bank reconciliation functions, answer customer inquiries, research problems and/or complaints, routine calculating, and post and verify duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• This contractor will be supervised by the Operational Accounting Management Team based in Syracuse, NY which is part of the HVAC Segment Controllership team.
• This position will support the monthly financial closing processes with an additional emphasis on balance sheet reconciliations/analysis, supporting key inventory accounting processes, and participating in tasks related to key strategic projects impacting operational accounting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support the month-end financial statement closing process including assisting team members throughout their duties including preparing journal entries • Preparation for month-end account reconciliations • Analysis of key balance sheet accounts and reserves • Support key inventory accounting processes such as LIFO, PII (Profit-In-Inventory) Elims, Tariffs, Consignment, E&O, Physical Inventories, and SNB (Shipped Not Billed)/Warehouse Cutoff accruals • Assist with SOX and internal/external audit requests • Participate in the testing of cross-functional strategic projects as requested REQUIRED EDUCATION: • Bachelor's degree, 8+ years' experience • SAP ECC6 experience required • Finished Goods inventory experience required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred • Master's degree in accounting preferred • CPA preferred • Experience with HFM preferred • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Self-driven with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) Employee Benefits: At LanceSoft, full time regular employees who work a minimum of 30 hours a week or more are entitled to the following benefits:
