Accountant - Ace Hardware : Job Details

This Accountant role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate presentation of financial records by providing accounting support and preparing analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations. This team member will work directly with varying levels of management and business partners throughout the organization through various forms of communication when accomplishing these tasks.

• Participate in the monthly close process (journal entries, variance analysis, account reconciliations and management inquiries) by ensuring financial transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and/or ad-hoc financial analysis, including analysis of current actual results compared to prior period and budget for use in internal and external reporting. Assist in the accounting, analysis, and budgeting of various accounts in coordination with FP&A.
• Partner with and support business partners with financial analyses, queries and issues. Work with the stakeholders to gain an understanding of the area, determine the root cause of any issues identified, propose process improvements and assist with the implementation of the process improvements.
• Assist on projects or ad-hoc analyses to support a wide array of internal and external reporting requirements and/or to improve accounting efficiency or drive higher quality deliverables.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 0-5 years of work experience in a financial/accounting capacity
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
• Detail oriented and excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data mining skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level

Compensation Details: $64700 - $81000 per year Plus a 15% potential bonus opportunity annually!
