Accountable Care Advisor
The Accountable Care Advisor is responsible for enhancing the Cardinal Care program by collaborating with Stanford University, Stanford Health Care (SHC), and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies aimed at reducing healthcare costs while ensuring high-quality medical services for students. The position involves evaluating the current health plan, addressing high-cost utilization in acute settings, and recommending modifications to student health services. Additionally, the role includes fostering partnerships with local employers and SHC clients to strengthen relationships and expand healthcare offerings. Key responsibilities encompass strategic planning, improving operational functions of health plans, and establishing a governance model for value-based care initiatives across the enterprise. The role will work closely with SHC and School of Medicine leadership to drive effective management and financial performance of health services.

What you will do:
- Collaborate with the School of Medicine, Stanford University, and external consultants to evaluate and develop solutions for the Cardinal Health Plan to modify the student health cost trends.
- Develop an understanding of the opportunities to partner with the local employers and SHCA clients. Utilize this understanding to develop strategies to deepen and strengthen these relationships including the potential of expanded product offerings and health care services.
- Evaluate and design an effective management for short- and long-term strategic planning, preparation and adherence to quality and financial performance of SHC insurance products and Medicare and Medicaid initiatives such as TEAMS and MSSP.
- Evaluated and recommend improvements to the structure of the manage health plan operational functions including account management, provider services, network management, underwriting, accountable care product development, marketing and sales, and financial performance and reporting.
- Determine a long-term strategy as it relates to SMP's relationship with the clinically integrated network ACO.
- Create an enterprise-wide approach to value-based care in coordination with physician leadership.
- Develop a governance and administrative model across the enterprise (SHC, Tri-Valley and SMP) to monitor and implement all value-based initiatives including MSSP and TEAMS. Develop a intake process to facilitate decision making and implementation of initiatives necessary to meet the objectives of value based programs.
- Develop an understanding of the opportunities to partners with the local employers and SHCA clients. Utilize this understanding to develop strategies to deepen and strengthen these relationships including the potential of expanded product offerings and health care services.
Education Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Health Service Administration.
Experience Qualifications:
- Fifteen (15) or more years of health care leadership experience in roles responsible for understanding health care purchaser needs and implementing solutions to meet those needs.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $129.94 - $172.18 per hour. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
