The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit (OU) is a newly formed team with a bold mission: to consolidate, simplify, and accelerate Microsoft's presence across the DIB landscape. This expansive network includes over 100,000 organizations specializing in manufacturing, aviation, cybersecurity, and more—all united in their support of all Federal Agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense and other mission-based intelligence and civilian organizations.

Our team is dedicated to empowering these commercial contractors throughout their digital transformation journey—from envisioning new possibilities to delivering secure, scalable solutions that drive mission outcomes, elevate customer experience, and fuel Microsoft's growth.

The DIB OU will directly manage and accelerate strategic and major DIB accounts across MCAPS Americas, while also enabling growth across other OUs. We're building new relationships, transforming legacy operations, and helping our customers modernize with confidence.

The DIB OU is currently looking for an Account Technology Strategist with a proven history of innovating technical solutions to achieve customers' business objectives and account growth targets. This role offers an opportunity to combine your technology and industry knowledge to deliver AI solutions that accelerate your customers' AI vision and to become their trusted technology advisor.

As an Enterprise Account Technology Strategist, you will design and drive leading-edge technology initiatives in partnership with your customers, supporting their business outcomes and achieving Microsoft's business objectives. Paired with an Enterprise Account Executive, leveraging your multi-functional v-team across Microsoft's product portfolio and partner offerings, you will build and grow your network of technology executives within your customers and bring industry-relevant solutions to help them adopt AI technologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years of technical consulting, consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related experience OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

  • Successful completion of Microsoft Cloud background screening, which will be conducted bi-annually.
  • Verification of U.S. citizenship via valid passport, other approved documents, or US government clearance, due to legal restrictions supporting U.S. government clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willingness to attain U.S. security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent.
  • 4+ years experience in the customer's industry.
  • 4+ years experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive business outcomes.

Account Technology IC4 - The typical base pay range in the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year, with higher ranges in specific locations like San Francisco and New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer AI and security strategy, documenting business objectives and technology landscape.
  • Drive Microsoft business growth, including partner co-sell initiatives.
  • Lead AI, data, migration, and security discussions aligning with customer business priorities.
  • Apply industry expertise to build AI strategies aligned with business outcomes, challenging customer assumptions constructively.
  • Influence virtual teams to adopt appropriate technical architectures using Microsoft and partner solutions.
  • Contribute to industry and technology briefings for customer stakeholders.
  • Support enablement plans to expand customer technical capabilities and foster innovation.
