Job Overview

Resolve complex medical claims and support financial success of healthcare clients by leveraging expertise to improve processes and outcomes. Drive improvements through mentorship and knowledge-sharing.

Location & Time Zone

This remote position is open to all US applicants, with preference for Hawaii residents due to time zone alignment. The role follows Hawaii Standard Time (HST). Applicants outside Hawaii must work an 8-hour shift from 5:00AM to 5:00PM HST, adjusting for Daylight Saving Time as needed.

Responsibilities

• Resolve high-dollar, complex claims, including escalated cases with extensive payer, technical, or clinical review requirements.
• Mentor account resolution specialists to enhance skills and handle complex cases.
• Ensure claims are submitted in compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Research, analyze, and correct claim errors and rejections.
• Stay updated on payer changes and train staff accordingly.
• Follow up on outstanding insurance receivables to maximize revenue.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and participate in shift briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in healthcare management or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory, mentoring, or coaching experience.
• CRCR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• 3-5 years experience with health insurance claims, denials, and escalations.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, etc., preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS codes, and revenue cycle regulations.
• Strong investigative and resolution skills for complex claims.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools.
• Strategic decision-making and leadership abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

Additional Details
