Overview
The Account Representative is responsible for adding new customers as well as maintaining existing client account relationships. The position involves visiting management companies and owners in a geographic territory, attending management meetings with RealPage clients, industry functions, and meeting with client executive management. The role has assigned revenue goals and activity responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage prospecting, qualifying, and closing new sales activities.
- Follow up on implementations related to new products and services, generating new and add-on sales revenue within a territory or account list.
- Research, identify, and generate new opportunities weekly.
- Qualify, build, and manage an accurate sales funnel; strategically attack a regional territory to close new business and grow existing accounts.
- Sell solutions with a consultative approach in a high-energy environment.
- Create ROI for prospects.
- Maintain high activity levels, including outbound calls, emails, and social selling.
- Deliver web-based presentations partnering with Sales Engineers.
- Sell to VP & C-Suite executives, navigating multiple decision makers.
- Consistently outperform quarterly and annual sales quotas.
- Adapt to change while remaining organized, optimistic, and coachable.
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in business or 4 years relevant sales experience.
- At least 4 years of formal field or inside sales experience exceeding quotas.
- Proven achievement in selling software products or services, with a value-based/consultative approach.
- Ability to identify, qualify, and prioritize prospects; present solutions to large groups.
- Quick situational assessment and solution formulation skills.
- Effective management of a geographic territory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technically savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Certifications like IREM or NAA are highly desired.
- Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.
- Willingness to attend industry meetings and trade shows, possibly evenings/weekends.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with punctual follow-up.
- Must be a self-starter, motivated by client issue resolution and solution selling, with field activities including overnight/weekend travel (up to 40%).
