Job Title: Remote Account Manager - IT Staffing (Mid-Market) Location: Remote (Chicago-based company) Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: Base + Commission (OTE commensurate with experience) About Us: We're a growing IT staffing firm headquartered in Charlotte, focused on delivering high-impact solutions to mid-market clients across industries. We're looking for a motivated Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow into a leadership role within the next few years. The Opportunity: As a Remote Account Manager, you'll manage and grow relationships with mid-market clients, selling IT staffing solutions across a variety of skill sets - from application development and cloud infrastructure to data analytics and cybersecurity. You'll have the freedom to drive your own book while being backed by a strong delivery engine. This is a client-facing sales role with a clear track to a leadership position for the right person. What You'll Do:
  • Own and grow a portfolio of mid-market accounts (existing + new logo)
  • Develop strong client relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers
  • Sell contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire IT staffing solutions
  • Partner closely with recruiting and delivery to fulfill client needs
  • Manage sales activity via CRM and maintain accurate forecasting
  • Hit monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Mentor junior teammates over time as you grow into a leadership role
What We're Looking For:
  • 2-5+ years of experience in IT staffing sales (agency-side preferred)
  • Proven success in a mid-market or enterprise sales environment
  • Strong understanding of IT skill sets and the full sales cycle
  • Self-starter who thrives remotely with minimal supervision
  • High integrity, team mindset, and long-term vision
  • Leadership ambition - you want to lead a team in the next 1-2 years
Bonus If You Have:
  • Experience selling in the Chicago or Midwest market
  • Previous recruiting experience (or strong collaboration with delivery teams)
  • Familiarity with VMS/MSP environments
