The Opportunity
Abbott's Cardiometabolic sales team has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager - Michigan. The ideal candidate will be based in Eastern or Central Michigan.
The AM will be responsible for managing ARDx's Cardiometabolic (CM) product portfolio. The target market will include physician offices, hospital accounts, corporate wellness, and IDNs. The focus is on point of care diagnostic testing on our Afinion (HbA1C and ACR) and Cholsetech LDX (cholesterol, lipids, and glucose) analyzers. The role involves working in a team environment with Technical Consultants (TCs) and Enterprise Account Managers (EAMs). The AE is expected to achieve sales objectives, develop, and maintain relationships with distributors and end users, and work independently to uncover unmet market needs.
What You'll Work On
- Identify sales opportunities and capitalize on them.
- Establish, develop, and maintain business and client relationships.
- Strategic development of POC sales opportunities.
- Implement sales, marketing, and national account programs as directed by management.
- Build and maintain strong product knowledge of competitors.
- Contribute to regional growth by understanding the objectives and goals of Account Reps.
- Assist with complex sales by providing technical expertise.
- Meet sales goals and maintain the territory budget.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the sales performance of distributor sales forces in the territory. Train and develop these sales forces to effectively represent Abbott's products.
- Support distribution partners through training, sales meetings, technical support, and marketing.
- Act as a resource for contract negotiation, pricing, proposals, bids, and customer follow-up.
- Identify and resolve customer issues related to sales.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in sales, marketing, business management, or life sciences.
- 6+ years experience in medical diagnostics or B2B sales.
- Experience working with distribution partners.
- Strong sales techniques and methodologies knowledge.
- Proven ability to execute sales strategies.
- Successful POC/Capital Equipment sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Contract negotiation experience.
- Background in complex/strategic selling.
- Experience balancing multiple stakeholders.

The base pay for this position is $66,700.00 – $133,300.00. Pay range may vary by location.
