Job DescriptionPosition Description: The Accommodations Coordinator works alongside the AARC Director to coordinate day-to-day activities related to the provision of reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities. The Accommodations Coordinator will have direct oversight of the AARC Testing Center. This includes planning, managing, and coordinating student testing accommodations. Compensation:
  • $42,000 - $48,000 Annually
Major Responsibilities:
  • Plans, manages, and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the AARC Testing Center. Maintain exam security, compliance with faculty instructions, and adherence to approved accommodations.
  • Assists with evaluating and assessing the usage of accommodations and makes recommendations for procedural modifications and improvements to ensure proper adherence.
  • Compiles, prepares, and generates accommodation statistics and reports as needed.
  • Assist the Director in conducting workshops and presentations regarding reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities.
  • Engage in relevant professional development and make recommendations to the Director for continued improvement in policy, practice, and procedures on campus.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology or a related field required
  • Two (2) years of administrative experience with demonstrated ability to relate to students, faculty, and staff in an educational setting. Applicants should also have an understanding of FERPA and HIPPA.
Other Qualifications:
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using technology to assist student learning
  • Proven ability and experience working with students with disabilities. Knowledge and experience with applicable laws and policies, including the Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, strongly preferred
