Academic Support Peer Tutor, Havelock Campus - Craven Community College : Job Details

The Academic Support Peer Tutor is responsible for providing tutorial assistance and academic support to Craven Community College students. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Tutor students individually or in group study sessions to review concepts, solve problems, and review for tests. Create a professional and welcoming environment by modeling respect for students diverse cultures, language skills, varying abilities, and experiences. Reviews course content to help students understand expectations Provide assistance in the use of equipment, technology, or learning materials needed for student success. Assists in the development and delivery of soft skills techniques, workshops, or classroom visits. Participate in professional development activities to improve tutoring skills and grow tutoring practices. Serves as an embedded tutor as needed.
