Academic Advisor, Office of Student Services - Texas Southern University : Job Details

Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean, Office of Student Services, is responsible to assist students from admission to graduation by advising on the selection of major and the subsequent classes that align with chosen major. Essential Duties Summary Advises and assist students with selection of major and classes. Processes academic suspension/probation appeals. Works with the Office of Student Services, TSU Registrar, and other campus offices on related matters such as graduation applications, registration, commencement, etc. Coordinates interviews for program candidates. Transcripts evaluations of incoming students. Attends and participates in college/university recruiting events. Attends and participates in college/university student, outreach and special events and ceremonies. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. % FTE 1.0 Hiring Range $45,486.69 - $57,995.53 Education Bachelors degree. Masters Degree preferred.
