Academic Advisor & Learning Specialist - Wright State University : Job Details

The academic advisor and learning specialist advises student-athletes for assigned sports on matters related to NCAA academic eligibility and ensures that student-athletes who are academically and/or behaviorally at-risk, or who have education-impacting disabilities, receive the academic support necessary for them to succeed in the classroom. This position serves as a liaison to other campus departments to assist with any academic or other student-wellness issues incident to student-athletes participation in their sports, and the position supervises all Athletics Department peer-based academic services, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising all department tutors and study-tables monitors. Minimum Qualifications Masters degree. Experience in NCAA academic advising (graduate assistantships are acceptable experience). Preferred Qualifications At least one years experience with academics in an NCAA Division I athletics environment.
