Dedicated to Excellence, Committed to Service Abeka Digital Coding Team Lead The Digital Coding Team Lead will facilitate the technical and artistic direction and quality of all interactive digital content created by the digital coding team, aligning initiatives and products with Abeka's vision and mission under the direction of the Assistant Product Manager for Digital. This role will coordinate the direction for interactive development, ensuring that all projects align with product specifications, meet industry standards, and maintain a consistent and high-quality technical execution across all platforms and technologies. The Team Lead will also be crucial in the professional development of the coding team, fostering collaboration, and optimizing workflows for efficiency and quality in interactive development. Coordinate Digital Artistic Direction & Standards Articulate and maintain a clear and consistent technical vision for all interactive coding projects, aligning with the educational content and product specifications provided by Product Managers under the direction of the Assistant Product Manager for Digital. Establish and support the adoption of industry best practices and standards in coding techniques, architecture, and workflows across the team. Critique code, providing constructive feedback to ensure high technical and artistic quality, performance, and adherence to established coding standards and architectural guidelines. Conduct regular technical meetings to discuss project implementation strategies, share knowledge of new technologies, and ensure a unified product. Develop Digital Coding Team Provide mentorship and guidance to staff and student digital coders, fostering their artistic and technical growth. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to discuss progress, provide feedback, and support individualized professional development goals in coordinator with the Quality Manager. Identify individual and team training needs and develop opportunities for skill enhancement, including code demonstrations and workshops. Promote a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing. Contribute to performance reviews and provide constructive feedback on the technical contributions of team members. Optimize Workflow & Project Development Collaborate closely with the Assistant Product Manager for Digital and Product Managers to understand project goals, specifications, and timelines. Develop and standardize efficient coding workflows and processes to maximize productivity and maintain consistent quality and performance. Coordinate interactive projects, ensuring projects are appropriately scoped, resourced, and tracked to meet deadlines. Identify and implement strategies for improving team efficiency and reducing bottlenecks in the development pipeline. Schedule and facilitate necessary meetings, including project kick-offs, code reviews, and team updates. Ensure Quality Assurance & Collaboration Oversee the quality assurance process for all interactive code, ensuring it meets technical specifications, performance requirements, security standards, and art standards. Proactively communicate project progress, potential technical challenges, and solutions to the Assistant Product Manager for Digital. Ensure all coded content aligns with project guidelines and requirements. Communicate frequently, clearly, and tactfully with fellow editorial team members, Product Managers, Assistant Product Manager for Digital, Digital Product Coordinator, and Digital team members. FLSA Status - Scanning (Non-exempt) Education Required Education: Preferred Education:College Degree - Computer Science, College Degree - Graphic Design, College Degree - Web Design Work Experience Required Experience: 5+ years in web designPreferred Experience:3+ years in Abeka Publishing Physical Requirements and Skills Back-End Development, Communication, Constructive Criticism, Detail-Oriented, Figma, Front-End Design, GitHub, Leadership, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visual Studio Code, Operating Office Equipment, Organizing, Process Optimization, Technical Problem-Solving, Technical Project Leadership, Technical Project Management, Workflow Development Ideal candidates must be born-again Christians and must be dedicated to training young people for serving God; and must desire to educate students based on biblical values and be committed to excellence as a Christian educator who glorifies Christ as the source of all wisdom and knowledge.
