A&I Allergic Diseases Physician Scientist

The Division of Allergy and Immunology, Barbara and Donald Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, is seeking a Board Certified Pediatrician or Internist Clinical Physician Scientist specializing in atopic disease. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in drug desensitization and/or food allergy, at the assistant/associate professor level, to join the A&I faculty. Preferred candidates will hold an MD or MD/PhD degree with a proven track record in conducting clinical trials and clinical or translational research.

The Division of Allergy and Immunology serves a large population of children and adults with various atopic diseases and primary immunodeficiency diseases. It also treats secondary and acquired immunodeficiency diseases resulting from autoimmune disease or cancer treatments. The division houses a Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center with a fully staffed research laboratory within The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, part of the Northwell Health System. The team includes 9 Internal Medicine and Pediatrics A&I faculty members, 4 fellows in a nationally recognized ACGME-accredited fellowship program, 3 PAs, 1 FNP, a Doctor of Pharmacy, a Pharmacist, and 5 nurses. The division features four centers of excellence: the Food Allergy Center, the Drug Allergy and Desensitization Center, the Pediatric Asthma Center linked to the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York, and the Primary Immunodeficiency Disease Center.
