Essenhaus Foods is seeking a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative to spearhead new business development efforts and expand our retail presence across the U.S. This position is responsible for identifying, pitching, and securing new customers and opportunities, while maintaining a pulse on existing accounts to ensure sustained growth and market competitiveness. The role will work closely with the Account Manager to ensure a seamless transition from initial sale to long-term customer success, sharing insights and collaborating on strategy to maximize account performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify, research, and pitch new retail opportunitiesDrive growth through expanded market reach and account acquisitionAttend industry food shows, trade events, and category reviews to build relationships and generate leadsDevelop and execute strategic pilot programs to evaluate new retail and distribution opportunitiesWork collaboratively with the Account Manager to ensure smooth account setup, onboarding, and fulfillmentPartner with the Account Manager to analyze store-level data and investigate underperforming SKUs or accountsCollaborate with the Account Manager to evaluate broker/distributor performance and explore cost-saving opportunitiesUtilize established industry relationships to identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with Essenhaus Foods' strategic goalsAct as the primary contact for new accounts during the onboarding and ramp-up phasesWork with marketing and operations teams to align sales strategy with brand positioning and production capacity.Execute additional responsibilities or special projects as assigned by the General Manager in support of company initiatives and strategic direction.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience in the food manufacturing, CPG, or grocery industryProven ability to open new accounts and build lasting customer relationships Experience working with brokers, distributors, and private label customersStrong analytical and communication skillsSelf-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independentlyProficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platformsValid driver's license and ability to travelWorking Conditions:
Regular travel required – some overnight and multi-day trips·Must be comfortable working remotely while on the road·Office space provided in Middlebury, Indiana for administrative and planning workPhysical Requirements:
·Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally (for trade shows, samples, etc.)·Standing/walking for extended periods during trade events
