401(k) Wholesaler / Retirement Plan Sales Representative Compensation: Base $100k, plus 40% of annualized fees brought on in the first year Location: Melville, NY (onsite) Our client is a specialized investment advisory firm offering comprehensive retirement plan solutions, investment management, and private wealth advisory services. Known for their integrity, fiduciary expertise, and client-first service model, they support plan sponsors and participants with tailored 401(k), 403(b), and defined benefit offerings. They are seeking an experienced and driven 401(k) Wholesaler to grow market presence and increase assets under management through advisor engagement and new plan acquisition across the Tri-State Area. Key Responsibilities • Build and manage relationships with plan sponsors, retirement plan advisors, recordkeepers, and distribution partners • Promote bundled retirement plan advisory services to third-party administrators (TPAs) • Generate new business opportunities and develop a strong sales pipeline focused on plan acquisition and rollover assets • Present retirement plan offerings, investment strategies, and fiduciary support to prospective clients and centers of influence • Partner with internal teams including operations, marketing, and compliance throughout the sales process • Travel within the territory to lead annual education meetings • Deliver training to advisors on plan design, fiduciary responsibilities, and regulatory changes including SECURE 2.0 • Track progress and activity through CRM systems and meet or exceed defined sales targets Ideal Candidate • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in retirement plan sales, ideally as a 401(k) wholesaler or DCIO representative • Series 65 license or willingness to obtain promptly • Strong knowledge of ERISA, fiduciary compliance, and qualified plan design • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills • Ability to travel within the assigned region Compensation & Benefits • $800/month health benefit stipend • Supplemental short-term disability and $50K life insurance policy • 401(k) and cash balance retirement plan • PTO resets annually: 1 week in year one, 3 weeks after year two (flexible) • NYSE holiday calendar and Summer Fridays (Memorial Day through Labor Day) • Standard schedule: 8-4 or 9-5 with a paid lunch hour This is a high-impact opportunity for a self-motivated sales professional to join a growing advisory firm and lead efforts in expanding retirement plan services across a key region.
