4-Hour Food Service Helper

Position Title:4-hour Food Service Helper

Location:Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District - JFK High School

Hours:10-month position (September - June) Monday - Friday 10:00a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Reports to:Food Service Helper in Charge and Food Service Director

Salary/Pay Scale:Per the CSEA Contract; Minimum Wage $15.50/hour

Job duties:

• Assist the Food Service Helper in Charge with food preparation and daily operations of the school cafeteria.

• Prepare food for students and serve meals (which includes standing for extended periods of time).

• Wash student and staff trays and dishes.

• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and equipment.

• Employee must be able to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and do simple math such as addition and subtraction in order to balance a cash drawer.

• Employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.

• Any additional duties as assigned by Food Service Helper in Charge or Food Service Director.

Requirements:High School Diploma and reliable transportation required.
