3rd Shift Sanitation Associate DIRECT-HIRE - Illinois Staffing : Job Details

The primary role of the Sanitation position is to clean plant production machines, equipment, and facilities to meet food safety, customer quality, and worker safety requirements. Schedule: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM Monday-Friday, with additional hours available for OT. Compensation: $18.00-21.00 per hour based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment and the environment in a thorough and safe manner.
• Operate cleaning systems and equipment as trained and specified.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of sanitation documentation according to company and regulatory regulations.
• Adhere to all current standard operating procedures and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in cleaning, production, janitorial, and sanitation.
• General labor skills.
• Knowledge of GMPs, sanitation, and food production processes.
• Ability to lift up to 55lbs (team lift for 55lbs-65lbs).
• Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Sanitation or janitorial experience.
• Chemical certifications preferred.
• Production and warehouse experience desirable, with food manufacturing experience a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and learn quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a wet environment and as part of a team.
• Must have a sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
