3rd Shift Packer - Aerotek : Job Details

We are seeking experienced packers who are capable of lifting 30 pounds regularly and standing for long periods of time. You will be responsible for packing material as it comes off the production machine, building boxes, and staging materials for shipping in a fast-paced environment.

Shift & Pay: 3rd Shift - 11pm - 7am - $17/hr

Responsibilities

• Pack materials as they come off the production machine.
• Build boxes and stage materials for shipping.
• Rotate positions every two hours to maintain efficiency.
• Inspect small parts and ensure quality control.
• Maintain speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in packing and assembly.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with leads, supervisors, and managers.
• Ability to read SOPs and work orders.
• Proficiency in using a computer to access work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Fast-paced production background.
• Comfortable working in a clean room environment.
• Ability to gown up and wear cleanroom attire including booties, facial hair covers, and hair cover.
• Strong communication skills.

Work Environment

This position is for the 3rd shift, operating from 11pm to 7am. The work takes place in a clean room environment where candidates must be comfortable wearing cleanroom attire, including booties and hair covers. The dress code requires close-toed shoes, and lockers are available for personal belongings. Employees can wear shorts or pants under cleanroom attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon Hills, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
