We're partnering with an exceptional school district in Bucks County, PA, to hire a School Social Worker for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, in-person role at a middle school campus.

Location: Bucks County, PA

Duration: September 2025 – June 2026 (with potential to extend)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, School Hours

Grade Levels: Middle School

Position Details:

• Provide school-based social work services and interventions to support student mental health and well-being
• Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community to promote student success
• Help address barriers to learning through social, emotional, and behavioral supports

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Deliver individual and group counseling services
• Support students facing crisis situations or exhibiting risk factors
• Consult with teachers and administrators to support student learning and school climate
• Connect students and families to community-based resources and support services
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
• Maintain compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid Pennsylvania LSW or LCSW license (or eligibility to obtain one through the PA Department of State)
• Experience working with adolescents in a school setting preferred

Transitional Provisions (Valid Until August 1, 2026):

If you are currently employed as a school social worker in a Pennsylvania public school and hold a valid LSW or LCSW, you may be eligible for certification under Pennsylvania's “Special Considerations” provision. This requires one year of recent school-based experience and must be submitted prior to August 1, 2026. After this date, social workers in school settings must either hold the PDE-issued School Social Worker certification or serve under an emergency permit while actively enrolled in an approved program.
