Job Description

The primary responsibilities involve administration of various network/systems resources supporting SSD development and manufacturing. This includes setup and configuration of Windows servers, remote monitoring, server issue debugging, documentation, and other administrative duties. Software script maintenance/development may also be involved, supporting processes like automated file transfers.

The employee will be responsible for deploying robust, stable, and manageable computing and network services, managing technical projects, determining site computing and server strategies, researching new technologies, performing capacity studies, resolving network capacity issues, developing tools for network services, analyzing the impact of new technologies, troubleshooting complex problems, scheduling work to meet deadlines, and analyzing data to develop solutions for moderately complex processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have experience with Linux Server, Windows server, and network administration, demonstrating initiative and strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to support and debug network and server issues remotely is essential.

Required experience and skills:

  • 5-7 years of Network and Server Support experience
  • 5-6 years with Linux RedHat, SLES, and Ubuntu
  • 5-6 years with Windows 7, 8, and Microsoft Server 2008, 2012
  • 5-6 years troubleshooting network connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP in large enterprise environments
  • Supporting and troubleshooting Active Directory in multi-domain/global environments
  • 4-5 years cabling, installing, and configuring managed switches
  • 4-5 years with Virtual Server, HyperV, VMWare, vCenter
  • 4-5 years supporting SQL 2008 and 1-2 years SQL 2012
  • Experience scripting in PowerShell, Python, or VB
  • Ability to manage technical project deliverables
  • Self-starter, proactive, minimal supervision needed
  • Customer service orientation and problem resolution skills
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
