Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating all manner of transaction documentation.
  • Providing advice and counseling on documentation; structuring and negotiating transactions; advising and supporting clients in new product development.
  • Following and advising on legal and regulatory developments affecting covered products and businesses.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders within the firm (risk, tax, compliance, etc.) and coordinating external counsel activities.
Required Profile

This is a six-month program with the potential for full-time employment.

Societe Generale's Career Arc Returnship program aims to help professionals re-enter the workforce and sharpen skills through a paid internship. It offers meaningful work in a supportive environment, focusing on legal services and compliance within the financial industry.

Must Have:
  • A minimum of a 2-year career gap.
  • Knowledge of US securities laws, including the Securities Act, the Exchange Act, FINRA rules, CFTC regulations, and insolvency law frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Minimum 4 years of industry experience, up to 10 years.
  • Proficiency in English.
Nice to Have:
  • Last held position as Vice President, Executive Director, Director, or Managing Director.
  • Law Degree and active NY State Bar membership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
