Please go to our school website to see all that the district has to offer www.sesk12.orgJob SummarySecretary/Health Aide 6.5 hours per day (7:30am to 2:30pm) 11-Month Employee DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Performs a variety of administrative/clerical tasks pertaining to the efficient operation of the school. 2. Assists staff and students by providing secretarial, recordkeeping, and administrative support functions to ensure a coordinated program administration. 3. Performs general and specialized computer support functions. Types correspondence and reports. 4. Keeps schedule of all school events including field trips, board meetings, assemblies, faculty meetings, and sporting activities. 5. Supervises and provides assistance to students and adults in main office. 6. Provides medical intervention for ill/injured students. 7. Provides necessary communication between external populace and staff members/students, including communication with buses before and after school. 8. Performs any other position-related assignments as assigned. 9. Work with Principal to prepare and publish newsletter. 10. Prepare SARB referrals. 11. Oversee facility use permits. 12. Enroll new students into Aeries system. 13. Maintain records of health screening and health management programs. 14. Post information to student health files. 15. Prepare standard letters/forms for students' parents/guardians. 16. Audit student health records including immunization, vision, and hearing screening for compliance with state mandates. 17. Assist with on-site health screening and schedule student follow-up for school nurse as required. 18. Organize files and flag cases that require review by Principal. 19. Prepare and/or duplicate materials. 20. Provide specialized health procedures in areas of demonstrated competency. 21. Provide first aid as necessary. 22. Contact parent/guardian in case of student illness/injury. 23. Refer information regarding medical conditions to Principal. 24. Maintain health equipment and supplies. 25.
