Job # : 154573 Title : 1st shift Mon-Thur, Mechanical Journeyman (Anderson County) Location : Anderson, SC Salary Range : $28.00-$32.00/hr Position : Laborer - Mechanical Description : Skilled Mechanical Journeyman - Industrial Services Location: Anderson County, SC (Multiple Industrial Sites) Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pay: $28.00 - $34.00/hour (Based on experience) Partnered with OpSource OpSource is hiring on behalf of a respected Industrial Services company seeking an experienced Skilled Mechanical Journeyman in the Upstate South Carolina area. This is a long-term opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional who thrives in industrial environments and values safety, precision, and teamwork. Position Overview: As a Mechanical Journeyman, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems across multiple industrial plants. Ideal candidates will be self-starters who can read technical drawings, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure work is performed in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Installation & Maintenance

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems including pumps, compressors, and piping
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery to maximize performance and minimize downtime

Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose issues using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic equipment
• Perform mechanical repairs, including welding, soldering, and brazing when needed

Safety & Compliance

• Follow OSHA regulations and adhere to all environmental and site-specific safety policies
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report safety concerns immediately

Technical & Operational Skills

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and manlifts as required

Leadership & Team Support

• May provide guidance to apprentices or junior team members
• Participate in training and development efforts

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial setting
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Journeyman certification or apprenticeship completion preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Experience with industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, manlifts)
• Must own appropriate hand tools
• Must be physically capable of demanding labor
• Willingness to travel between job sites as needed
• Valid driver's license required
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
