Job responsibilities are as follows:
- Set up and control processes such as blending, extraction and filtration and complete appropriate documentation
- Operate process and utility equipment in a hygienic and safe manner in accordance with all processprocedures, cGMP and HAACP guidelines
- Set up, calibrate and monitor instruments such as pH meter, temperature meter, conductivity meter, hydrometer and thermometers
- Tear down, clean and re-assemble equipment such as pumps, grinders and valves
- Clean utensils, vessels and lines
- Identify, troubleshoot and respond to deviations in process, product, equipment and performance variations
- Perform minor maintenance work on equipment when necessary
- Complete the daily, weekly and monthly sanitation schedules
- Complete necessary paperwork and batch sheets that accompany mixes compounded
- Record indicator readings and test results
- Follow standard instructions to package products to specifications
- Tend solvent extraction equipment that extracts flavor compounds
- Observe temperature and steam pressure gauges and flow meters
- Turn valves or hand wheels to regulate temperature and flow of material in equipment within specified limits
- Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning
You must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check in order to be considered for this position.
