Position: BookkeeperLocation: Beaver Dam, WIShift: 1st shift, Part-Time, Flexible ScheduleWages: $18.00 - $21.00/hour Summary:To keep all accounting records for the church, work with the Stewardship Committee regarding the budget, and process all monies in and out of the church's funds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately keep all accounting records and files regarding all the business of the church.
- Process and record all income and payables of the church, includes on-line payments and receivables.
- Supervise and count the weekly offerings with a volunteer if warranted, recording results to the members' records.
- Process employee payroll, including all quarterly and year-end tax forms.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the Stewardship Committee and Session.
- Meet monthly with the Stewardship Committee, providing input and aiding with the administrative work, including the annual operating budget, special projects and donations, and the annual stewardship campaign.
- Send contribution statements to the congregation.
- Ensure that an annual audit is completed for the church accounts.
- Coordinate all purchasing and organization of inventories with other staff members.
- Assist other committees with their part of the operating budget and monitor their administrative costs throughout the year.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associate degree in accounting or business administration, Bachelor's degree preferred;
- 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a church setting.
- Proficient in Quick Books Online and Excel knowledge a must.

Work Schedule:20 hours per week with some flexibility to schedule; some late afternoon or evenings needed for various meetings. ADA:Must be able to spend extended time sitting at a computer; visual and physical dexterity for counting money and computer work; occasional lifting of up to 25# as needed; must be able to read and write in English for communicating with church members.
