Salary: The full hourly compensation range is $23.95 - $29.14. Offers are made at the entry level of the range. Assignment: This is a part-time, temporary assignment that will work through June 2026. The person in this role will work 14 hours per week, with the following schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and Friday's from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm (with a 30 minute lunch) . The position requires a criminal history check and fingerprint check through the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) prior to starting, health exam and TB test, and proof of MMR vaccination or exemption. Provide comprehensive early learning through parent/child playgroups, and other support services. Provide parent education to promote involvement in child development. Plan, lead, and facilitate group activities. Administer and evaluate developmental screenings and/or other assessments for children ages 0 - 5 years and adult participants. Facilitate referrals and connections with community agencies; assist families with self-advocacy efforts. Participate in staff training and development activities. Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and partners. Compile data and submit required forms, evaluations, and data reports. Conduct outreach activities to recruit participants. Associate's degree in Early Care and Education, Human Development, Family Studies, Child Development, Education, Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work, or related field OR a High School diploma with 4 years of experience working with families and children ages 0-5 (with a Professional Development plan in place to achieve an Associate's within 5 years) Experience using computer software to manage data, maintain files and submit reports. (i.e. Microsoft Office programs, Google Docs, etcetera) Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Experience working in a parent/child playgroup or early childhood classroom setting. Experience providing comprehensive services to children birth to five years in one or more of the following content areas: health, early childhood education, nutrition, mental health, and/or children with disabilities. Experience working with community and social service resources. Experience working with low-income and at-risk families. Bilingual English/Spanish.
