Essential Function

Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all outlined responsibilities and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Primary Duties
  • Brand (30%): Supervise and support associates' daily goals to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, dress code, etc. Act as the main point of contact for customer issues. Analyze store trends and anticipate customer demands.
  • People (30%): Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit actively and identify strengths and opportunities for associates, providing coaching or counseling as needed. Maintain positive relations and communicate effectively with team and peers. Foster diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Operations (30%): Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, and analysis. Manage inventory, payroll, store opening/closing procedures, and follow through on directives and projects. Support digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment.
  • Safety/Loss Prevention (10%): Maintain a safe store environment, enforce policies, protect assets, and ensure compliance with safety training and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Preferred: 3+ years retail/customer service experience, 1+ year management experience
  • Effective team leadership and communication skills
  • Flexible scheduling availability
  • Cosmetology license desirable but not required
