Develops, communicates, and leverages a strategic vision aligned with company market and local plans and tactics to direct the management team and associates in facility operations, merchandising, and company direction. Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates in a facility that may present issues such as high turnover, engagement challenges, inexperienced associates, and recruiting difficulties in a competitive market. Responsibilities include ongoing recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, succession planning, performance evaluation, recognition, and fostering a belonging mindset across organizational levels.

Upholds the company's Open Door Policy by engaging with associates, researching issues, leveraging resources, and ensuring responsiveness and resolution. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, maintains relationships with officials, and oversees asset protection, safety, and quality assurance standards. Develops community outreach programs, representing the company publicly, and managing media relations and corporate programs.

Drives financial performance by achieving sales and profit goals, controlling expenses, and analyzing economic trends. Manages customer service standards, merchandise presentation, pricing, inventory, and sales forecasting. Ensures the success of the Academy training environment, fostering a high-performance culture and engaging trainees.

Provides strategic direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs, developing and implementing strategies, and promoting continuous learning and improvement. Develops a highly skilled, engaged workforce through talent development, mentorship, and succession planning. Cultivates an environment of integrity, ethics, and respect, supporting a culture of belonging and diversity.

Builds partnerships with community and stakeholders, supporting outreach initiatives and representing the company externally. Acts with integrity, maintains high standards, and supports Walmart's sustainability and community goals. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $170,000 plus additional compensation based on performance and location.

Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of general management experience, including financial accountability, and 4 years supervising at least 50 associates, or equivalent management experience. Additional requirements include successful completion of job-specific trainings and assessments, and, for certain facilities, background checks for firearms or certifications for ammunition sales.

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, experience as a Store Manager in a low, medium, or high complexity store, or managing a grocery area in a retail environment.
