Senior Manager, UX Product Design, you'll help lead and grow our expanding Design and Research team, set the bar for how our team operates, and uplift those around you as you develop your skills.You'll work across functions and stakeholder groups, applying your deep knowledge of human-centered design to deliver successful new products. Collaborating with business leaders, you will create and align strategic direction. You will also guide your team of direct reports as a coach and mentor, helping them achieve their best work. What you'll do:- Define and drive design vision, strategy, and approach, impacting our business strategy and direction.
- Guide your team to design at appropriate fidelity using frameworks, sketches, diagrams, user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Use design thinking to facilitate cross-functional conversations, gather and shape ideas, and build prototypes for testing and iteration.
- Collaborate with Business Strategy, Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and beyond to ensure alignment and translate Walmart's complex data ecosystem into high-value products.
- Act as a leader within our UX Product Design organization, sharing knowledge, mentoring, shaping culture, and keeping the team updated on best practices.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, User Experience, Visual Communications, or related field.
- 8+ years of professional product design experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- A portfolio showcasing shipped design work, preferably in high-complexity industries like finance, healthcare, or enterprise sectors.
- Deep understanding of design thinking methodologies and human-centered design principles.
- Proven ability to transform ambiguity and complexity into effective design solutions.
- Expertise in visualization, rapid prototyping, and pressure testing ideas to influence product and business strategy.
