(USA) Director, Apparel Design - Walmart : Job Details

Apparel Brand Design directs internal design teams and initiatives that build and strengthen Walmart's brands, aligned with the Walmart Apparel Strategic Business Unit (SBU) merchandising goals. It ensures that Walmart's brand DNA, trends, aesthetic/style, quality, and value support customer needs and market leadership.

Deliver world-class Walmart exclusive brand experiences across all channels, including Walmart stores and Walmart.com, by offering private label collections of high-quality, high-value products. Ensure positive customer experiences that increase sales, customer conversion, and satisfaction. Provide macro trend direction for the brand, oversee design vision and execution, manage supplier relationships, and ensure quality and regulatory standards are met. Develop and implement strategies to differentiate the brand, develop pricing strategies, and collaborate with merchandising, operations, and marketing teams. Lead talent development, foster a respectful and ethical workplace, and build strong partnerships internally and externally. Focus on serving customers with an omnichannel mindset, driving continuous improvement, and supporting Walmart's broader goals.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, design, or related area, with 5 years of experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related field. Option 2: 7 years' experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area. Additionally, 1 year of supervisory experience.

Corporate leadership experience in Business Administration, Merchandising, Sourcing, or relevant field; cross-functional project management; Master's degree in Liberal Arts or relevant field.
