(USA) Director, Apparel Design - Walmart : Job Details

Apparel Brand Design directs internal design teams and initiatives that build and strengthen Walmart's brands, aligned with the Walmart Apparel Strategic Business Unit (SBU) merchandising goals. The role involves ensuring brand DNA, trends, aesthetics, style, quality, and value support customer needs and market leadership. Responsibilities include managing profit and loss, annual budgets, and ensuring merchant alignment with brand strategies.

Deliver world-class Walmart exclusive brand experiences across channels, providing high-quality, high-value private label products. Provide macro trend direction, oversee brand identity, and manage supplier relationships. Develop product specifications, quality benchmarks, and packaging compliant with standards. Analyze the competitive landscape, develop pricing strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives. Lead talent development, foster an inclusive environment, and uphold Walmart's values of integrity and customer service. Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives.

Compensation includes a salary range of $156,000 to $312,000, performance bonuses, stock options, and comprehensive benefits such as health coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and educational assistance through Live Better U.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, design, or related field, plus 5 years' experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area.

Option 2: 7 years' experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area, with 1 year supervisory experience.

Leadership experience in business administration, merchandising, sourcing, or relevant fields; cross-functional project management; master's degree in liberal arts or relevant field.
