Position Summary: As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing high-complexity testing in a fast-paced, critical access setting. This role requires generalist experience and adaptability across various laboratory disciplines including Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Blood Bank. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures across multiple departments
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Collect and prepare specimens for analysis
• Record and analyze data accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff regarding test results
• Participate in quality control and proficiency testing programs
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized working environment
• Provide support during inspections and audits
• Rotate weekend and holiday coverage as assigned

Schedule:

• Nights: 7on/7off
• Start Date: ASAP

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a NAACLS-accredited program
• MLT (ASCP) or MLT (AMT) certification required
• Active Alabama MLT license (or ability to obtain)
• 1+ years of generalist experience preferred
• Experience in critical access or rural hospital settings a plus
• Strong multitasking, communication, and analytical skills
