The Laboratory IT Specialist provides planning, design, architecture and support for the lab's infrastructure network. The Laboratory IT Specialist evaluates products and provides recommendations on their suitability for the IWSL's network environment. The Laboratory IT Specialist must be self-motivated and able to work independently. The Laboratory IT Specialist will support Information Assurance (IA) projects involving all phases of information assurance related to network operations. The position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union.

Experience, Education, and Licensure:

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is desired. Five (5) years of experience in Naval Tactical Systems or Information Technology that includes three (3) years of experience demonstrating an established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the SOW.
• Requires a DoD 8570.01-M or successor Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification is required at hiring and must be maintained in an unexpected state throughout the life of this task order.
• Must have or be able to attain a DOD security clearance.

Travel: May require some travel.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance: DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Additional Qualifying Factors: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.

Salary: $39+/hourly DOE
