Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales success? We’re looking for a Trade Counter / Internal Sales Executive to join a busy branch team in Finchampstead and play a key role in supporting customers and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Customer Service & Sales
- Serve trade and public customers at the counter and over the phone.
- Raise and follow up on customer quotes using the K8 system.
- Accurately process sales orders and support internal sales growth.
Trade Counter Operations
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-presented shop and counter area.
- Handle trade counter documentation and system updates efficiently.
Stock & Inventory Management
- Resolve stock queries and ensure accurate booking of inward stock.
- Maintain inventory records and manage purchase orders with suppliers.
Credit Control & Financial Administration
- Chase outstanding payments and support credit control processes.
- Ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and promptly.
System & Process Management
- Use the K8 ERP system for quotes, orders, and stock control.
- Follow company procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in trade counter or internal sales roles.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and good numeracy.
- Comfortable using IT systems, especially ERP platforms like K8.
- Knowledge of construction products and warehousing (preferred).
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
