Your work will directly influence production, quality, and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities, but are not limited to
- Leading the design of bespoke and standard doorsets using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Creating detailed 3D models, flat patterns, and fabrication drawings
- Solving complex design challenges in sheet metal and fabricated products
- Supporting R&D and semi-automated design processes
- Developing and maintaining component libraries for efficient workflows
- Collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure practical, cost-effective solutions
- Providing installation guidance and resolving shop floor issues
- Specifying parts and supporting procurement
- Conducting design reviews and mentoring junior designers
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
Experiences required
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (sheet metal, weldments) and AutoCAD
- Experience designing fabricated sheet metal (flat patterns) and welded assemblies
- Real-world knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., press brakes, turret punches, laser cutters)
- Ability to integrate electrical/electronic elements into CAD models
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience (time-served preferred)
- A practical, problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills
