CompanyWell established UK organisation is looking to appoint a Payroll Analyst. This is a strategic role supporting both payroll and HR functions with insights derived from accurate, comprehensive data reporting. The organisation operates across multiple UK sites, offering hybrid working and a collaborative, forward thinking environment.Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, you will play a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making across HR and Finance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering recurring and ad-hoc reports on workforce metrics aligned to internal needs and statutory obligations
  • Analysing workforce data to support strategic initiatives such as budgeting, workforce planning, and performance tracking.
  • Providing tailored reports and dashboards to senior stakeholders using tools such as Excel, Power BI and other data platforms.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure consistent and accurate data exchange between HR, payroll, and finance teams.
  • Supporting payroll and expense administration with accurate data entry and ensuring compliance with processing deadlines.
  • Interpreting complex datasets to identify trends and risks and presenting findings in a clear and actionable format.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of data from various internal systems (HRIS, time and attendance, payroll platforms).
  • Acting as a key liaison for UK-wide workforce reporting requirements, with occasional travel to regional sites.
Key Skills preferred

We are seeking a data-savvy professional with the following profile:

  • Proven experience in a data analyst, business partner or reporting role within HR and/or payroll environments.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and systems – including Excel, Power BI, and HR/payroll software.
  • Ability to extract and manipulate data from various internal platforms and create compelling visual reports.
  • Confident communicator, able to explain complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally in a multi-site or national organisation.
  • High attention to detail, excellent organisation skills, and a strong understanding of payroll and HR processes.
