New Build Conveyancing: Legal Assistant / Secretary / Paralegal

RecQuest are working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded law firm, known for delivering exceptional legal services. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Legal Assistant, Secretary, or Paralegal to join their busy Residential Conveyancing team in Fareham.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly alongside a Partner, supporting a thriving department handling buying and selling transactions, remortgaging, and probate-linked conveyancing. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth transactions and providing excellent client service.

• Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, including contracts and title deeds.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, and mortgage providers, ensuring seamless communication.
• Manage schedules, appointments, and correspondence on behalf of the legal team.
• Assist with reception duties, providing a warm and professional service to visitors.
• Maintain accurate billing and administrative records, ensuring compliance with firm procedures.

• At least one year’s experience as a Legal Assistant, Secretary, or Paralegal, ideally within residential conveyancing.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
• IT proficient, with experience using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
• A proactive and flexible team player, able to work both independently and collaboratively.
