We're seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the team at a specialist SEN primary school in Hillingdon. This rewarding role offers you the chance to support pupils aged 4-11 with a range of additional needs in a warm, therapy-led environment that prioritises inclusion and individual growth.
Your role will include:
- Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges
- Creating a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child can thrive
- Supporting the development of pupils' social skills, emotional wellbeing, and academic progress
- Assisting with classroom setup, learning resources, and maintaining a positive learning space
- Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support and track pupil progress
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a caring, patient, and resilient approach to working with children
- Can communicate clearly and confidently with pupils, staff, and families
- Is a team player who brings positivity and flexibility to the classroom
- Has previous experience in an educational or SEN setting (preferred but not essential)
- Is eager to learn and grow in a nurturing, supportive environment
- Holds a relevant qualification or is willing to undertake training
