My client are a major business in the Bristol area and are market leaders in their field.
Description
The key requirements in the role:
- Gaining initial understanding of key elements within the current processes to facilitate reconciliations work.
- Downloading data from the accounting systems/records and preparing lease control account reconciliations.
- Documenting and summarising work and results using standard reconciliation workbooks.
- Identifying and clearing unreconciled items. These items will typically relate to all lease postings from the bespoke lease accounting software, related invoices and payments, miscellaneous accounting journals/transfers, and non-IFRS16 items requiring transfer to other GL accounts or write-off to P&L.
- Reference to relevant clauses within lease contractual documentation held within Lease Repository and use of translation software where necessary.
- Pass details of unreconciled items for follow up to the leadership team who will liaise with various teams to ensure reconciliation items are cleared efficiently.
- Ensure any perceived complexities, issues or exceptions are escalated promptly.
- Any other project related tasks within role competencies as required
Profile
The successful candidate will possess:
- A full and recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Ability to interpret, manage, manipulate and summarise data
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations and clearing reconciling items
- Intermediate Excel and pivot skills
- Attention to detail whilst recognising key areas to focus effort
- Efficient and disciplined approach to interpreting clauses in multiple lease contract documents
- Practical approach to problem solving and obtaining information from other stakeholders in an organisation
Job Offer
A highly competitive rate of £350-400 per day depending on experience is available for the role. Applicants need to be available to start a role within the next few weeks.
