Job Description :
Temporary Holiday Cover – Sales Administrator

Location: TewkesburyDuration: 19th June - 27th JuneHours: Full-time, office based

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Order Processing:

    • Create quotes and process orders using Sage 50
    • Handle invoicing and payment processing via phone and email.
    • Manage approximately 5 commercial orders per day, plus 5–10 small online orders (Amazon, eBay, website).
    • Ensure all orders are processed and dispatched within an 8-hour turnaround window.
  • Customer Service & Communication:

    • Answer incoming calls, take enquiries, and process phone orders.
    • Liaise with a remote team member to ensure continuity of service.
    • Provide product information and technical support (e.g., product use for descaling boilers).
  • Logistics Coordination:

    • Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
    • Follow each order through from quote to delivery.
  • Administrative Support:

    • Maintain accurate records using Excel spreadsheets and internal systems.
    • Respond to quote requests received via email or purchasing platforms.
    • Take card payments securely over the phone.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a sales administration or customer service environment.
  • Proficiency in Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and maintain business continuity during staff absence.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a sales support role.
  • Technically savy to pick up systems quickly
  • Strong initiative
