Are you an organised administrator with some finance experience looking to develop your career?Freedom Network Services is looking for a Finance & Commercial Administrator to join our delivery team in Wakefield on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a varied role where you’ll combine administration and finance work, gaining exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects and building your commercial skills within a supportive team. It’s a great opportunity for someone with a background in accounts payable, payroll, credit control, finance assistance, or purchasing who wants to broaden their experience in a project-based environment.

If you’re ready to build on your finance/administration experience, this role will give you the chance to grow in a commercial environment, develop your skills, and contribute to exciting projects with a well-established and growing business.

• Supporting Project Managers and the Operations Director with day-to-day finance and commercial activities.
• Setting up new projects and budgets in our financial system.
• Preparing and submitting monthly client applications and reports.
• Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers for materials and services.
• Assisting with cost reporting, reconciliations, and audits.
• Providing general admin support to the wider delivery team.
• Working closely with colleagues, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects on track.

• Previous admin experience with a finance element (e.g. accounts payable, payroll, credit control, purchasing, or similar).
• Good IT and numeracy skills – confident with Excel and financial systems.
• A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
• Someone proactive, organised, and eager to learn.
• Knowledge of CIS, VAT, or purchase order systems would be an advantage, but not essential.
