Job Title - Finance AnalystSalary - £35,000 per annumLocation - South MidlandsContract - 6 months FTCRole responsibilities

• Prepare and post pre- and post-month-end journals
• Collaborate closely with the commercial team to calculate and accurately post inflation gains as part of monthly reporting cycles.
• Calculate gross margin variance (GMV) and prepare detailed reports for senior management and operational teams to inform business decisions.
• Undertake balance sheet reconciliations with precision, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
• Support the month-end close process by ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded and reported.
• Provide ad hoc analysis as required by senior stakeholders to support strategic initiatives or operational improvements.

Previous Experience needed

• Strong investigative skills paired with analytical thinking that enables you to identify trends and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Clear proficiency in using Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting purposes.
